The Seeker

Past Lives

Have you ever visited a place and wondered who was there years ago or what they may have been doing?

I went to visit the Titanic and on my tour I saw rooms like they slept in, the room they dined in, and other rooms to give us a feel of how they lived on that journey.

The two things I saw that touched me was a wall showing photos of the ones that died and the ones that survived, the other was a small piece of wood that came off the staircase and I thought how many of them actually touched it and what were their thoughts at the time. Some happy and some disturbed I’m sure, but it was an eye opening adventure and a heartbreaking one for myself.

So many lives lost, so many cries in the night.

  1. These places and events don’t really hit home until they become personal. I remember hearing about the Titanic at school, but until I watched the movie, it never really “got it”.
I love visiting historic buildings etc, as it brings it to life. You get the smells, textures, and even the atmosphere, and it becomes real somehow.
Where did you visit the Titanic? I figured it was still under the ocean? Is there a model or museum somewhere?

    1. Titanic Museum Pigeon Forge
he Titanic Museum is a two-story museum shaped like the RMS Titanic. It is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and opened on April 8, 2010. It is built half-scale to the original ship. Similar to the one in Branson, Missouri, the museum holds 400 pre-discovery artifacts in twenty galleries. It is the largest permanent Titanic museum in the world.

  2. OMG this is soo creepy Im pretty sure. Looks like I had this same feeling when I went to 9/11 Ground Zero Museum. They have this recording there of some of the last phone calls of the victims to their family during the 9/11 attacks. They knew they were dying so they just left their messages to their love ones in the voicemail. Listening to them is heartbreaking.
