What Matters?

The sun kissed her body a darkened Island beauty.

The water caress her like a lover.

The wind captured her scent and spread it over the on lookers.

The heavens looked down upon her and smiled.

She turned as the sun began to set and a tear rolled down her cheek.

When the sun met the horizon a great blinding light made us hide our eyes.

As they opened again she was gone, only a rose 🌹 remained.

I picked it up and it crumbled between my fingers.

Something written in the sand where she stood.

Time takes away beauty but love never dies.
